The Matium team will be at the Plastic Recycling Conference next week in Grapevine, TX!

We look forward to meeting with many of you and discussing everything going on in the world of Matium. Our team will be around the conference floor and happy to answer any questions you may have as well as give demos of the platform.

Matium is launching our public material database on the Network in early April. We will be collecting technical data sheets and line cards from vendors to host their materials on the most searchable procurement platform there is.

We will also be releasing our carbon emissions reporting tool. Be sure to find us at the show if your company is looking for a partner to simplify and automate your sustainability tracking.

Meet our new team members:

Eric Mills - Director of Operations

Eric is an innovative leader who specializes in establishing and streamlining processes. As the Director of Operations and expert in strategic and tactical planning, he runs all Back Office functions as well as coordinates with the Front Office and Engineering teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and milestone achievement. Previously, Eric served as a Prime Contract Program Manager where he was responsible for leading 80 people and comprehensively managing a $60M contract. He supported the Program Office of the world’s most technologically advanced destroyer with a focus on facilitating the delivery of the hypersonic missile capability to the Fleet. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and served 9 years as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer. Notable achievements include leading a recording-breaking prosecution of an adversary’s submarine and leading the Reactor Mechanical division through pre-commissioning efforts and testing on the most advanced Aircraft Carrier.

Tri Nguyen - Success Specialist

Tri brings a fresh and diverse perspective to Matium, with experience in both the software and plastics industries. Prior to his role as a sales leader at HTP Supply LLC, where he specialized in trading various grades of plastics, Tri also excelled as a success specialist and project manager at Transporeon. At Transporeon, Tri was focused on helping user optimize their transportation and logistics processes via software. is This unique blend of backgrounds allows Tri to provide valuable support to Matium users, helping them leverage the platform to optimize their operations and effectively tailor the use of Matium for raw materials companies.

Dennis Q. - Principal Data Scientist

Dennis Quinn is the managing partner of Willow Group, a data science studio that works with early-stage venture builders across domains. Dennis spent a large share of his career leading computational projects as a data scientist at the Pew Research Center, and more recently was a climate tech founder. He is also a Fulbright alum and a fluent Arabic speaker.

Jason Matteson - Lead Front End Engineer

With over 20 years of experience in the web software industry, Jason is a seasoned lead software engineer and engineering manager known for his development and leadership skills and track record of innovation. Throughout his career, he has successfully led cross-functional teams in various companies such as Trimble, ClearanceJobs, and CenturyLink (now Lumen). Jason's expertise lies in architecting and developing robust front end software solutions using a wide array of technologies. He excels in fostering collaboration, mentoring developers, and creating standards and methodologies to streamline development processes and provide a wonderful developer experience. With a passion for learning new technologies, Jason is dedicated to driving software development teams towards delivering top-notch products while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Dennis Arndt - Chief Information Security Officer

With 20+ years of success in startups, Fortune 50, SaaS, B2B, B2G, and B2C environments, Dennis is a strategic thinker and motivational leader with proven ability to develop and drive a company’s strategic information security direction, development, and future growth. Served on the management teams of startups and blue-chip companies; played a significant role in helping RainKing Software achieve multiple exits, each for nine figures. I led teams to achieve profitable growth by ensuring tight alignment with the business strategy and building nimble teams capable of responding to the ever-changing market demands. Planned and managed cost budgets of $25+ million; led staff of up to 150 cross-functional development teams, vendors, and labor sources in the U.S., India, Brazil, Prague, China, and Malaysia. Worked effectively with internal and external business partners, succeeded in a distributed IT environment, and built high-performing, customer-service-oriented organizations.
